South Bay Veterinary Hospital is hiring an Experienced Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician for a full-time role in Olympia, WA. The position offers four 10-hour shifts with a Saturday rotation, and a compensation range of $19–$20 per hour along with a comprehensive benefits package.

You will work in a supportive, team-oriented environment, assisting veterinarians and technicians, restraining animals, and ensuring clean, well-equipped facilities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician is required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Safely restrain animals for exams, blood draws, and treatments.
• Clean and disinfect exam rooms, kennels, and equipment.
• Feed, water, walk, and monitor hospitalized or boarding animals.
• Prepare supplies, medications, and instruments for daily procedures.
