Job summary

Occidental Veterinary Hospital in Occidental, CA is seeking an experienced RVT, Veterinary Technician, or Veterinary Assistant for full-time or part-time hours. The role offers a supportive team, no weekend shifts, and a competitive pay range based on experience.

You will assist doctors with exams, surgeries, and treatments, administer anesthesia, perform dental cleanings, and help manage patient records. A positive attitude and reliability are essential to fit our close-knit practice.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) preferred.
• Experienced veterinary professionals are encouraged to apply.
• Ideally at least 2 years of experience in a veterinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with appointments, treatments, and procedures.
• Place IV catheters and monitor anesthesia.
• Perform dental cleanings and dental radiographs.
• Prepare patients for surgery and assist during procedures.
• Calculate medication dosages and fluid rates.
• Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients.
• Restrain patients safely and assist with diagnostics.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Keep the hospital clean, organized, and efficient.
• Support the team and patients in daily operations.

What You'll Do
