Job summary

VetSelect Animal Hospital of Novi is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team in Novi, Michigan. This full-time role requires assisting veterinarians, performing in-house tests, and delivering exceptional client service in a small-animal wellness-focused practice.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of veterinary experience, strong communication, and a commitment to high-quality patient care with collaborative teamwork in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of veterinary experience is preferred.
• Experience utilizing core veterinary technician skills.
• A positive attitude and team-oriented approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Strong attention to detail when maintaining medical records and providing patient care.
• The ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients.
• A commitment to excellent patient care and outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood and collect samples for diagnostic testing.
• Perform in-house laboratory tests.
• Safely handle and restrain patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
• Educate clients about their pets’ care and veterinary recommendations.
• Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
