Work Schedule: Full Time; 3 days a week, 12pm-12am, Triage; on-call weekend rotation

Pay Range APCA I/VTIII: $23.20 - $43.70/hour

*This pay band depends on local veterinary licensing, experience, and advancement through our competency assessment tool.

Competitive Shift Differentials: Earn more with our shift differentials!

• Weekday Night (Mon-Fri 6p to 8a): $4.00
• Weekend Day (Sat-Sun 8a to 6p): $4.00
• Weekend Night (Sat-Sun 6p to 8a): $5.50

As a Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triages emergency cases, obtaining vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
• Understand normal ranges of vital signs, interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Calculate medical math, administer medications via appropriate routes and durations.
• Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters in peripheral vessels.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Mentor and train colleagues, and address client concerns with patience and empathy.
