Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists- Hoffman Estates is looking for a Nurse Trainer to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.
As a Nurse Trainer, you'll be the prime mover for professional development of TPHS veterinary technicians. You will plan, develop, and conduct training activities to help team members learn new skills, up to date technology in veterinary medicine, and address training gaps. You will track training effectiveness and gather feedback from the participants vital for hospital planning.
Role Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyze the need for training in our hospital
- Develop a training plan for New Hire and current employees according to their needs and address training gaps.
- Facilitate training sessions, either in person or online and collaborate with internal and external trainers to deliver teaching regimen effectively.
- Monitor team members' attendance and performance during training programs and present the data to their direct supervisor.
- Keep track of individual team members' performances on the floor post training through feedback from supervisors.
- Must be able to adjust training schedules based on team members' availability.
- Work schedule: Flexible, on-site minimum of 40 hours a week, weekends and evenings required
Experience & Skills Requirements:- Minimum 5 years of veterinary technician experience, emergency experience required, and specialty medicine experience preferred.
- CVT required
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and database software.
- Highly organized and strong decision-making skills.
- Ability to design effective veterinary technician training programs

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience- $75,000-$85,000/year. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
