Dynamite Animal Hospital, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our team. We provide support, tools, and resources to help you elevate your skills. Our hospital is deeply rooted in the local community, offering a genuine local feel combined with Thrive's national resources.

About You

You will play a vital role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care, including outpatient treatments, laboratory tests, surgery assistance, and support services such as admitting and discharging patients.

Experience & Skills Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical veterinary experience
  • CVT/LVT/RVT encouraged to apply
  • Prepare animals and instruments for surgery
  • Assist with surgeries and post-operative care
  • Administer medications and treatments prescribed by a veterinarian
  • Positive work attitude, self-motivated, excellent communication and organization skills
  • Superior technical skills and commitment to a stress-free environment for patients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Role Responsibilities:
  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality care, advocate for pets, and educate clients
  • Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with state regulations
  • Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options
  • Maintain accurate medical records and relevant health histories
  • Use safe restraining techniques and keep treatment areas clean and organized
  • Mentor and support fellow team members
