  • Familiarity with veterinary software and medical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare animals and surgical instruments for procedures.
  • Perform dental cleanings, including extractions when needed.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and prescribed treatments.
  • Provide emergency first aid and general nursing care.
  • Collect and accurately record patient histories and clinical information.
  • Educate clients on post-treatment care and at-home protocols.
  • Safely restrain animals for exams and procedures.
  • Dispense medications and clearly explain usage to clients.
  • Perform venipuncture and place intravenous catheters.
  • Induce, intubate, and monitor patients under anesthesia.
  • Administer oral, IV, IM, and subcutaneous therapies.
  • Triage urgent and critical care cases.
