Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing quality care for animals and support the daily operations of our veterinary practice.

Duties

• Assist veterinarians in routine examinations and surgical procedures
• Perform laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood counts
• Administer medications and vaccines under veterinarian supervision
• Radiology, including dental.
• Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress
• Provide compassionate care to animals in distress
• Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures
• Exposure and handling of exotic animals (not avian)
• Experience and competency performing dental prophylaxis

Qualifications

• Certification as a Veterinary Technician or Vet Tech experience
• Proficiency in dog handling, pet care, and veterinary procedures
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and animal anatomy
• Familiarity with X-ray procedures
• Experience in animal handling
• Understanding of animal physiology
• Prior knowledge of Avimark operating system is a plus
• Experience with exotics is a plus
