Job summary

Petfolk Veterinary Clinic in Houston is hiring a Veterinary Technician to join a compassionate medical team dedicated to high-quality patient care and client service.

As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll assist veterinarians in surgeries, monitoring anesthesia, performing venipuncture and labs, and educating pet parents with clarity and empathy. We support growth, certification, and a low-stress care approach for every patient.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on veterinary experience in a clinical setting.
• Texas licensure as LVT/RVT/CVT is required.
• Confident in surgery, anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, and diagnostics.
• Strong communication and collaborative mindset.
• Commitment to low-stress, Fear-Free handling; certification is a plus (we pay for it).

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in surgeries and dental procedures.
• Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during procedures.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and basic lab tests.
• Educate pet parents with compassion and clarity.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient histories.
• Mentor assistants and promote teamwork and excellence.

What You'll Do

• Confident in surgery, anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, and diagnostics
• Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset
• Committed to low-stress, Fear-Free handling (certification a plus, and we'll pay for it)
• Comfortable with technology, adaptable, and motivated to grow
