Job summary

Petfolk Huntersville invites you to join our veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician. You’ll support veterinarians, deliver high-quality patient care, and educate pet parents with empathy in a fast-paced, tech-enabled clinic. We require 3+ years in a clinical setting and NC licenses (LVT/RVT/CVT).

A Fear-Free approach and comfortable use of modern workflows are valued. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available to the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on veterinary experience in a clinical setting.
• Licensed Veterinary Technician in North Carolina (LVT/RVT/CVT).
• Confident in surgery, anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, and diagnostics.
• Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Fear-Free handling certification (or willingness to obtain; we sponsor).
• Proficient with veterinary technology and modern workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in surgeries, dental procedures, and anesthesia monitoring
• Performing venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and lab diagnostics
• Educating pet parents with compassion and clarity
• Ensuring accurate medical documentation and patient histories
• Promoting low-stress and Fear-Free techniques in every interaction
• Mentoring assistants and fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence

What You’ll Do as a Veterinary Technician

As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll be a key part of our medical team, delivering high-quality patient care, supporting veterinarians, and helping pet parents feel confident and informed.

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, CVT) in the state of North Carolina
• Confident in surgery, anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, and diagnostics
• Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset
• Committed to low-stress, Fear-Free handling (certification a plus, and we’ll pay for it)
• Comfortable with technology, adaptable, and motivated to grow
