Job summary

Petfolk’s Jacksonville team is hiring a Veterinary Technician to deliver high-quality patient care and support veterinarians. You’ll help educate pet parents and contribute to a low-stress clinic environment using Fear-Free practices.

The role requires a Florida-licensed veterinary technician with 3+ years of clinical experience, and weekend availability (Saturday/Sunday). Scrubs are provided and ongoing training is available in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on veterinary experience in a clinical setting.
• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, CVT) in Florida.
• Saturday and Sunday availability; weekend-only role.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in surgeries, dental procedures, and anesthesia monitoring
• Performing venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and lab diagnostics
• Educating pet parents with compassion and clarity
• Ensuring accurate medical documentation and patient histories
• Promoting low-stress and Fear-Free techniques in every interaction
• Mentoring assistants and fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, CVT) in the state of Florida
• Confident in surgery, anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, and diagnostics
• Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset
• Committed to low-stress, Fear-Free handling (certification a plus, and we’ll pay for it)
• Comfortable with technology, adaptable, and motivated to grow
