Animal Medical Center of Forney is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

About You

As a Veterinary Technician, you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your work will include hands-on care, facilitating outpatient treatments, performing laboratory tests, assisting in surgeries, and supporting services like admitting and discharging patients.

Experience & Skills Requirements:

• Required: 2+ years of continuous veterinary technician (direct animal/patient care required)
• LVT/RVT encouraged to apply
• Desire to practice empathetic, gold standard medicine benefiting our patients
• Team-oriented with an ability to collaborate and support each other
• Kind, trustworthy communication with patients, team members, and clients
• Desire to grow and advance as a veterinary technician

Role Responsibilities:

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality care, advocate for pets, and educate clients
• Assist with hospital functions to maximize productivity and patient flow
• Assist in surgeries and procedures in accordance with state regulations for credentialed veterinary technicians
• Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options
• Maintain medical records and obtain relevant health history
• Use safe restraining techniques and maintain sterile, organized treatment areas
• Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members
