Animal Medical Center of Forney is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

About You

As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your responsibilities include hands-on outpatient treatments, laboratory tests, surgery assistance, and support services such as admitting and discharging patients.

Experience & Skills Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of continuous veterinary technician experience with direct animal/patient care
• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT) encouraged to apply
• Commitment to empathetic, gold standard medicine benefiting patients
• Team-oriented with collaborative spirit
• Paw-sitive, kind, and trustworthy communication skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality care, advocate for pets, and educate clients
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with state regulations for credentialed technicians
• Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options
• Maintain accurate medical records using practice systems
• Gather health history and information from clients
• Follow standard protocols for safe restraint, cleanliness, and organization
• Mentor and support team members
