Tiogue Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our full-time team in Rhode Island. The role includes assisting veterinarians with exams, surgeries, lab work, and client education, with a schedule as outlined by the clinic.

Qualifications

• Veterinary Technician certification/licensure preferred but not required.
• Minimum prior experience in a veterinary clinic.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of restraint, anesthesia monitoring, and laboratory procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during exams and medical procedures.
• Monitor anesthesia and support surgical procedures.
• Collect and process laboratory samples.
• Administer medications and vaccinations as directed.
• Perform radiographs and diagnostic testing.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient histories.
• Educate pet owners on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
• Provide compassionate handling and care for animals.
