Job summary

Pet Care Clinic of the High Country is hiring a Veterinary Technician as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or experienced Veterinary Assistant. This full-time position features a four-day work week with four 10-hour shifts and no holiday or weekend shifts, with compensation based on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary care is required.
• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) credentials or equivalent experience.
• Able to perform blood draws and IV catheter placement.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, procedures, and surgeries
• Safely handle and restrain patients using appropriate techniques
• Perform blood draws and collect diagnostic samples
• Place IV catheters and support fluid therapy
• Prepare patients for surgical and dental procedures
• Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs throughout procedures
• Provide post‑operative monitoring and recovery care
• Assist with laboratory diagnostics and other procedures
• Provide compassionate nursing care to patients
• Communicate clearly with clients regarding care and recommendations
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Collaborate with doctors to maintain efficient workflow

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Registered Veterinary Technician credentials or significant hands-on Veterinary Assistant experience
