AmeriVet Veterinary Partners' Bernardsville Animal Hospital is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate team in Bernardsville, New Jersey. You will assist with patient care, rooming, surgical support, blood draws, and imaging, while delivering client education.

Qualifications

• Experienced Veterinary Technician.
• Knowledge of industry tools is a plus.
• Passion for working with animals and their owners.
• Ability to learn proper animal handling, fear-free training, and restraint.
• Ability to learn common treatments and processes normally found in a veterinary hospital setting.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Saturday shifts are required.
• Electronic medical recording and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and provide surgical assistance as needed.
• Assist with blood draws and laboratory work.
• Take and position X-rays and ensure proper imaging.
• Educate and communicate with clients about diagnoses and care.
• Maintain clean, organized treatment areas and accurate EMR entries.

Who We're Looking For

We are currently looking to hire an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member.

Requirements

• Experienced as a Veterinary Technician
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment is a plus. Experience working with these tools is even better
• Passion for working with animals and their owners
• Ability to learn proper animal handling, fear-free training, and restraint
• Ability to learn common treatments and processes normally found in a veterinary hospital setting
• Excellent communication and ability to gain strong organizational skills
• Saturday shifts are required
• Electronic medical recording and data entry

Pay Range: $22.00-$25.00 based on experience
