Job summary

Marshfield Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated veterinary technician or assistant to join our compassionate team in Marshfield. You will assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures, while safely handling animals and creating accurate patient records.

We value strong communication and teamwork, and prefer candidates with CVT/RVT/LVT credentials or eligibility. AVMA‑accredited programs are preferred but not required, as we support growth and licensure for our staff.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• CVT/RVT/LVT preferred – or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
• AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
• Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
• Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
