Job summary

Alliance Animal Health is seeking a skilled surgery technician to support surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring. You will assist with restraint, prep, and post-operative care, and document procedures.

Responsibilities include triage, lab sample handling, radiographs, medication administration, and clear communication with clients about treatment plans. Opportunities for ongoing training and professional growth through hands-on and virtual programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as surgery tech and monitoring anesthesia.
• Proficient in anesthesia and surgical monitoring.
• Knowledge in pre-operative care, preparation for surgical procedures, post-operative care, and discussing continued care with clients.
• Ability to interpret medical records and record client history accurately.
• Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist with animal restraint and triage of incoming patients.
• Collect and analyze lab samples and perform basic diagnostics.
• Assist with diagnostic imaging and radiographs.
• Provide nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases with varying stability.
• Administer medications and monitor responses.
• Prepare for and assist during surgical procedures; manage anesthesia during procedures.
• Document surgical notes and charts post-procedure.
• Communicate treatment plans clearly with clients.
