Qualifications

  • Board Certification in Surgery (DACVS) or completion of a surgical residency.
  • Strong surgical skills and a commitment to exceptional patient care.
  • Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client centered approach.
  • A collaborative mindset and interest in working closely with emergency, critical care, and other specialty services.
  • A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, teaching, and advancing specialty medicine.
  • Interest in leadership and helping develop and grow a surgical service is welcomed.

Responsibilities

  • Balance time between consultations, case workups, and surgical procedures.
  • Perform orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries using available imaging and surgical equipment.
  • Collaborate with other specialties to support integrated case management.
  • Help shape and grow the surgical service in line with hospital priorities.
  • Work alongside a dedicated surgical nursing and support team.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners throughout the surgical process.

AVSE is a brand new 20,500-square-foot facility that houses ER, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, and Neurology and we are looking for a second neurologist to join us and support our growing caseload. Under the direction of our highly experienced Medical Director, and with the back-end business support of Ethos Veterinary Health, AVSE has been a welcome addition to the patients and families of Alpharetta and the surrounding communities!
