Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine (CBEAM) is hiring a Sterile Resource Assistant to support our surgical team in Bothell, WA. This part-time role offers 20 hours per week with compensation of $20.82–$22.00 per hour.

You will decontaminate and sterilize instruments, prepare supplies for procedures, and help maintain a clean, safe surgical environment in a busy veterinary hospital.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary hospital, medical, clinical, surgical, or hospital setting preferred.
• Knowledge of sterile processing, infection control, or sterilization protocols preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and general office equipment.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and safety protocols consistently.

Responsabilités

• Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, package, wrap, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Prepare surgical instruments and supplies to ensure they are properly processed and ready for procedures.
• Operate sterilization equipment, following procedures and manufacturer instructions.
• Document biological monitoring to verify sterilization effectiveness.
• Follow infection prevention and control protocols throughout processing workflow.
• Inspect instruments for damage and report needs for replacement or repair.
• Maintain and clean sterilization equipment; report malfunctions promptly.
• Restock sterile supplies and maintain organized operating room areas.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs.
• Maintain a safe sterile processing and surgical environment.
• Follow OSHA standards, hospital policies, and guidelines.
