Job summary

Hawaiian Humane Society seeks a Veterinary Services Assistant II to support the Kosasa Family Campus in Ewa Beach. You will perform animal health assessments, provide vaccinations, and assist with pre/post-surgery care and humane euthanasia.

Responsibilities include anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep, daily entry into the PetPoint system, and maintaining medical supplies. The role requires compassionate care for animals and excellent customer service in a busy shelter environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Two years of veterinary assistant/tech experience preferred.
• Certified Veterinary Technician license preferred.
• Familiarity with veterinary surgical operations and drugs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily health and behavior assessments and care.
• Assist with anesthesia, surgical prep, and monitoring.
• Log daily activity in PetPoint and help prepare monthly reports.
• Maintain medical supplies and clinic resources.
• Provide compassionate customer and animal care.
