Qualifications

• Candidates must be a Certified Veterinary Technician ,be able to verifyfour (4) years of work experience as a Veterinary Technician, and must be willing to obtain Vocational Teacher Certification in Pennsylvania.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide quality occupational instruction to secondary career and technical students to prepare them for a successful career path.
• TheVeterinary Sciences Instructor willprepare individuals, under the supervision of veterinarians, laboratory animal specialists, and zoological professionals, to provide patient management, care, and clinical procedures assistance as well as owner communication. Includes instruction in animal nursing care, animal health and nutrition, animal handling, clinical pathology, radiology, anesthesiology, surgical assisting, clinical laboratory procedures, office administration skills, patient and owner management, and applicable standards and regulations.

Salary Range (2026- 2027School Year)

• $59,796to $87,342- Emergency/Intern Certification (coming in with industry experience)
• $62,155to $89,730- Vocational I Teaching Certification
• $64,834to $93,324- Vocational II Teaching Certification
• $69,353to $101,911 - Master's Degree
• $72,740to$105,924- Master's +15
• $74,415to $107,845- Master's + 30

Schedule

10 month, school year (194 days), Mon - Fri, 7.5 hours per day
