Trupanion is a leading provider of medical insurance for cats and dogs in North America. Our mission is to help loving, responsible petownersbudget and care for their pets. At Trupanion, we offer a collaborative, casual, and pet-friendly environment where everyone is encouraged to be themselves.

Are you an entrepreneurial sales professional with a passion for pet health? Trupanion, the leading pet health insurance provider, is seeking a Territory Partner Associate (TPA) to manage and grow our territory along the I-5 corridor from Salem, Oregon, to the southern border of the state. This dynamic role offers uncapped earning potential, a competitive salary-plus-commission structure, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of pets and their families.

Location Requirement: Candidates must reside within the territory (Salem, Oregon, to the southern border).

What You'll Do

As a TPA, you'll develop and grow your exclusive territory through proactive account management, relationship-building, and sales execution:

Sales Territory Development
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying new opportunities within veterinary practices, shelters, rescues, and State Farm offices.
  • Achieve aggressive sales goals with a focus on maximizing performance and profitability.
Account Management
  • Build and maintain relationships with veterinary teams and other accounts to promote Trupanion's services.
  • Conduct in-clinic presentations and provide ongoing support to veterinary professionals.
  • Implement and sustain Trupanion programs by appointing and supporting Client Education Coordinators in accounts.
Account Visits
  • Maintain a monthly schedule of 120-200 account visits to ensure consistent engagement and support.
Portal Adoption
  • Ensure veterinary hospitals implement Trupanion's Portal for seamless client experiences and direct pay.
Administrative Duties
  • Attend weekly team meetings and maintain accurate activity records using CRM tools like Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Utilize data analysis tools such as Tableau to refine strategies and report on performance.
  • Represent Trupanion at local events, conferences, and expos to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.
What You'll Need Sales Experience
  • Proven success in sales with strong consultative selling skills and a focus on measurable goals.
  • Experience in territory management or account-based sales is highly preferred.
Personal Traits for Success
  • Independent motivation: Self-driven and disciplined to create your own opportunities.

  • Ability to obtain a State Property and Casualty Insurance License.
  • Comfortable with being on the road five days a week.
Compensation and Benefits
