Job summary

First Capitol Animal Hospital, located in St. Charles, Missouri, seeks an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team and lead anesthesia and surgical procedures with the highest standard of patient care.

You will monitor anesthesia, prep and recover patients, perform dental cleanings and radiographs, and communicate treatment plans to clients with empathy. This full-time role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive, team‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting.
• Current Missouri Veterinary Technician License.
• Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, dental prophy and radiographs, cystocentesis, microscope evaluation, and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.
• Ensure an efficient surgical and procedural workflow, anticipating the needs of the veterinary team and patients.
• Communicate with clients to review treatment plans, answer questions, and provide discharge instructions with empathy and clarity.
