At BluePearl Pet Hospital, our Veterinary Receptionists are essential to the success of our hospital. You will be the first BluePearl Associate that clients see, ensuring each client receives the care and attention they need. You must be able to function calmly and compassionately in emotionally challenging situations.

As a Veterinary Receptionist:

• Greet clients warmly and make friendly eye contact upon entry.
• Maintain a friendly smile, strong eye contact, and an approachable demeanor.
• Be a compassionate listener.
• Speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the phone to ensure clients understand.
• Assess each client's needs and the pet's condition upon arrival.
• Determine emergency status as "stat" or "standard" emergency.
• Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
• Confirm all appointments in advance and provide accurate preparation instructions to clients.
• Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients discreetly and compassionately.
• Serve as a liaison during handling of pet remains, ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
