Animal & Bird Clinic of Mission Viejo is hiring a Customer Service Receptionist to join our veterinary team in Mission Viejo, CA. This full-time position centers on friendly client service, scheduling, and accurate record-keeping for pets and their families.

Experience in customer service or veterinary reception is preferred, but we offer training. Weekend hours are required, and you will be part of a supportive, team-oriented environment focused on compassionate care for every patient.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls using a five-line telephone system
• Schedule appointments and manage the hospital’s daily calendar
• Monitor and respond to client emails
• Make outbound calls to follow up with pet owners
• Request medical records from other veterinary hospitals as needed
• Check patients and clients in and out efficiently
• Present and explain charges for veterinary services
• Process payments accurately and professionally
• Educate clients about non-medical pet-care topics
• Maintain electronic medical records and client correspondence
• Keep reception area clean, organized, and welcoming
• Help with interior and exterior hospital maintenance
• Participate in shared opening/closing cleaning duties

What Our Customer Service Representatives Do

• Participate in shared opening and closing cleaning duties.
• Clean animal waste from the lobby and other hospital areas when needed.
