Bartels Pet Hospital is seeking a friendly Veterinary Receptionist to join our three-doctor practice. You’ll be the first contact for clients, greet pets and their families, and keep a calm, organized front desk during busy days.

We offer a part-time schedule with Monday–Friday hours and rotating Saturdays, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth as part of a supportive team focused on exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience; veterinary receptionist or front desk experience is a plus but not required.
• Friendly, professional, upbeat communication style.
• Strong organization and attention to detail, especially with scheduling and payments.
• Comfort with computers and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassion for pets and the people who love them.
• Team-first attitude that fits our “better together” culture.
• Availability Monday–Friday and on rotating Saturdays

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients warmly and manage check-in and check-out
• Answer phones and schedule appointments efficiently and accurately
• Invoice accurately and process client payments
• Communicate with clients in a friendly, professional way, in person and by phone
• Update client and patient records and relay messages to the medical team
• Handle prescription and food refill requests
• Coordinate with doctors and technicians to keep the day running smoothly
• Support clients with compassion during emotional moments, including end-of-life visits
