Job summary

VCA Blairstown Animal Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Client Service Representative to be the friendly face in the reception area. You will greet clients, answer phones, schedule appointments, and check clients in and out, representing our AAHA-accredited practice.

You will place outbound follow-up calls, discuss services and fees, process payments, and help educate clients on preventive care and non-medical pet care.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a veterinary or medical setting.
• Experience greeting visitors and handling phones and scheduling.
• Ability to explain fees and process payments.
• Maintain a neat, clean facility and assist with light duties.

Job description

VCA Blairstown Animal Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Client Service Representative who is friendly and has excellent communication skills to represent our hospital in the reception area. We are proudly an AAHA-Accredited hospital that has been serving the community for decades and we value our long-term relationships with our clients and their pets.

Why We Need You

• Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, and checking clients in and out.
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
• Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times.
• Recommending and educating clients on all of the services and products offered that are available to each client.
• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, vaccines, and flea & tick control).

Part-Time hours include Monday-Friday with some evening hours and rotating Saturdays.

This position pays $18.00-$21.00 dependent on experience, education, certification, etc.
