Walnut Creek Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinarian Receptionist who thrives in a collaborative team, delivers exceptional client service, and helps pets and families feel welcome the moment they walk through our doors.

In this role you’ll greet clients and their pets, answer phones and emails, schedule appointments, process payments, and support the veterinary team to maintain a smooth, compassionate client experience.

As a Veterinarian Receptionist, you’ll be an important part of the client experience and the day-to-day flow of our veterinary hospital. You’ll be one of the first people clients meet and will help ensure they feel welcomed, supported, and cared for from the moment they walk through our doors.

Job Description
What You’ll Do

In this veterinary receptionist role, you’ll help keep the hospital running smoothly while providing exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting and welcoming veterinary clients and their pets
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting reception area
  • Answering phones, emails, and client questions and directing concerns to the appropriate team member
  • Helping triage client concerns and determine the appropriate next steps
  • Scheduling veterinary appointments to support an efficient daily workflow
  • Checking clients in and out and accurately processing payments
  • Communicating veterinary services, instructions, and information clearly and compassionately
  • Providing emotional support to clients during difficult or stressful medical situations
  • Working closely with the veterinary team to help create a positive client and patient experience

The ideal Veterinarian Receptionist understands that veterinary medicine can bring both exciting and emotional moments. You’ll need to be comfortable discussing a variety of medical outcomes while remaining compassionate, calm, professional, and discreet.
