As a full-service veterinary office, we offer state-of-the-art testing and diagnostics, an array of advanced care, routine and advanced surgical procedures, and many other services to provide your pet with the best possible care.

As a Receptionist, you will:

1. Receive and place calls to clients for scheduling purposes.
2. Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner.
3. Maintain proper documentation through client and pet records, including referral documentation and medical history.
4. Assist clients by providing instructions, information, invoices, dispensing prescriptions per veterinarian’s instructions, and scheduling future appointments.
5. Utilize hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and teammates.
6. Manage the financial transactions of the hospital, maintaining accurate balances, and following cash handling procedures.
7. Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally.
8. Educate clients on preventative care, pet health needs, and hospital services.
9. Maintain a positive attitude and show empathy towards clients and pets.
10. Utilize standard office equipment.
11. Possess knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
12. Have a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.
13. Experience with veterinary software is preferred.
14. Work independently and accept guidance on tasks.
15. Demonstrate organizational skills and critical thinking.
16. Possess strong communication skills and good judgment.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay range of $15-$19/hour based on experience.
