Job summary

Oak View Animal Clinic in Northwest Arkansas is seeking an experienced receptionist to join our fast-paced, 3-doctor mixed animal practice. You will welcome clients, answer calls, schedule appointments, and support patients with compassionate care. Weekend availability is required.

Starting pay is $15/hour with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for training and career development. Prior veterinary experience is preferred to help maintain a high level of service for our clients

Qualifications

• Experienced receptionist with at least 1 year in a veterinary setting preferred.
• Weekend availability required.
• Strong communication, organization, and computer skills.

Oak View Animal Clinic is a well-established, progressive, fast paced 3 doctor mixed animal practice located in Northwest Arkansas. We offer many services to provide the best comprehensive care to our patients including Preventative Care, Surgery, High Speed Dentistry, In-House Diagnostics, CR full body and digital dental radiology, Medical and/or Vacation Boarding and more.

Our staff is made up of friendly, caring, well trained professionals. Our receptionists will greet you personally and pleasantly, and our licensed veterinary technicians can educate you on topics such as bandage care and diabetic management. The highly trained doctors at Oak View Animal Clinic are dedicated to providing the best medical and surgical care for your beloved pets. Many of our staff members have been working with us for many years and as a team, we strive to make your experience at Oak View Animal Clinic as comfortable and comforting as possible.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Maintain the visual appeal or the hospital reception area, greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

• Experienced Receptionist with a minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred
• Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
• Highly organized and possess computer skills
• Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.
• Weekend availability required
