Job summary

Noah’s Ark Veterinary & Boarding Resort in Maryland is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist who genuinely enjoys helping people, loves animals, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative team.

You’ll guide client experience, coordinate scheduling, answer questions by phone, email, and in person, and support the front desk with organization and compassionate communication.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Veterinary receptionist or animal care experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, compassionate, and organized client/patient experience.
• Coordinate scheduling and appointment flow in a busy multi-service practice.
• Communicate with clients by phone, email, and in person regarding appointments, records, and questions.
• Support the veterinary team through accurate record keeping, organization, and proactive communication.
• Prepare for appointments by updating client records and ensuring forms are ready in advance.
• Educate clients on preventative care recommendations, products, and services for pets.
• Maintain a clean, professional, front desk environment.
• Perform general administrative tasks including mail handling and hospital communication support.

Noah’s Ark Veterinary & Boarding Resort is a privately owned small animal veterinary practice located between Baltimore and Annapolis, Maryland. What You’ll Do:

• Help create a welcoming, compassionate, and organized experience for clients and patients
• Coordinate scheduling and appointment flow in a busy multi-service veterinary practice
• Communicate with clients by phone, email, and in person regarding appointments, medications, records, and general questions
• Support the veterinary team through accurate record keeping, organization, and proactive communication
• Prepare for appointments by reviewing and updating client records and ensuring needed forms are ready in advance
• Educate clients on preventative healthcare recommendations, products, and services that support their pet’s health and wellbeing
• Assist clients with questions regarding medications, prescription diets, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, wellness recommendations, and other veterinary services
• Maintain a clean, professional, and team-oriented front desk environment
• Perform general administrative and clerical tasks including mail handling, document preparation, organization, and hospital communication support
