Marion Veterinary Hospital in Ocala, FL invites you to join our team as a veterinary receptionist. You’ll be the welcoming face for clients and their pets, handling phones, scheduling, payments, and coordinating with the veterinary team to ensure smooth daily operations.

We value compassionate, organized, and clear communicators who can multitask in a busy clinic. Saturday availability is required, and prior veterinary front desk experience is preferred as you help provide exceptional client

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and patients and create a warm, positive veterinary experience from the moment they arrive.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
• Answer phones, emails, and client questions while directing concerns to the appropriate veterinary team member.
• Triage client concerns and help ensure they reach the right person for assistance.
• Schedule appointments efficiently while supporting smooth daily hospital flow.
• Check clients in and out and accurately process payments.
• Communicate veterinary information clearly and professionally while knowing when to involve the medical team.
• Provide compassionate and discreet emotional support to clients during difficult or sensitive veterinary situations.

Located in Ocala, FL, Marion Veterinary Hospital is the longest‑standing small animal practice in the area. We’re a progressive, high‑quality two‑doctor veterinary hospital providing comprehensive care for small animals, pocket pets, reptiles, and birds. We’re also proud to be the only AAHA‑accredited veterinary practice in Ocala!

As a veterinary receptionist, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive experience for both clients and patients. Our veterinary team provides preventative care, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, emergency and urgent care, in‑house diagnostics, digital full‑body and dental radiology, acupuncture, boarding, and grooming. We also work closely with the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in Gainesville when patients need more advanced medical or surgical care.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a veterinary receptionist who is calm, compassionate, organized, and comfortable working in a busy veterinary environment. You’ll need to be a strong communicator who can multitask, stay organized, and work collaboratively with the veterinary team.

• At least 1 year of veterinary experience preferred.
• Previous veterinary receptionist or veterinary hospital experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated and eager to continue developing your veterinary knowledge and skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and comfortable supporting clients through a variety of medical outcomes.
• A team player who enjoys working in a collaborative veterinary environment.
• Saturday availability is required.

This is a hands‑on veterinary environment, so team members must be comfortable around animals and potential exposure to unpleasant odors and noises, bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases.
