Overview

Old Mill Veterinary Hospital has an opportunity for a
Veterinary Receptionist to join our team!

Location: 91 Lawson Rd SE, Leesburg, VA 20175

Shift Details: This is a full-time position (30+ hours/week) with a flexible schedule. Flexible shifts (8 and 10 hour shifts) available. Rotating Saturdays are required.

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00/hour (based on experience)

Job Summary

The Receptionist is the first and last contact clients have with the hospital, responsible for creating positive impressions. Must have excellent client service, communication skills, computer literacy, handling payments, multi-tasking, and confidence in stressful situations. Supports veterinarians, technicians, assistants, groomers, and kennel staff in daily care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain MVP's core values and mission.
• Greet clients and pets warmly.
• Answer phones professionally, handle inquiries, and route calls.
• Schedule appointments and surgeries, confirm bookings.
• Document client conversations accurately.
• Process charges, explain invoices, and handle payments.
• Verify client information and manage records.
• Fill prescriptions and provide care instructions.
• Advise clients on retail products and preventive care.
