Best Friends Animal Society in Orem, UT is seeking a Veterinary Program Manager to lead daily operations, drive growth of veterinary programs, and advance our no-kill mission.

You will manage teams of staff and volunteers, oversee budgets, ensure high-quality veterinary care, and collaborate across departments to boost lifesaving efforts. This role requires strong leadership and excellent communication in a fast-paced animal welfare environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams or managing people, including staff and volunteers.
• Minimum of one year working or volunteering in an animal shelter, veterinary clinic, or hospital.
• Excellent communications skills: public speaking and presentations; advocate Best Friends’ position.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage teams, provide strategic direction, and promote lifesaving objectives; oversee veterinary care teams of staff and volunteers.
• Provide support, training, mentoring, performance feedback; participate in recruitment and hiring.
• Prepare and manage department budget, forecasting, and performance metrics; maintain facilities and supplies.
• Collaborate with other teams to achieve lifesaving goals and ensure safety and compliance.
