Job summary

Priority Pet Urgent Care in Ankeny, IA is hiring a Practice Manager pre-opening for the grand opening in December 2026. You will oversee pre-opening tasks, hire and train staff, manage schedules, and coordinate market outreach to the veterinary community.

Qualifications

• CVPM with at least 1 year of management experience or 3+ years veterinary experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized.
• Open availability with flexible hours.
• Experience with hospital records and veterinary orders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pre-opening tasks including design, equipment orders and PMS setup.
• Recruit, hire, onboard staff and train for grand opening.
• Manage staff schedules and payroll processing.
• Market the hospital to clients and veterinary community.
• Maintain inventory, vendor relations and compliance with DEA/OSHA.
