Job summary

Harbor Point Animal Hospital is seeking a Practice Manager to lead and develop a high-performing team, drive operational excellence, and shape the growth strategy of the hospital. You’ll work closely with the Medical Director and Assistant Practice Manager to optimize hospital operations and culture across departments.

The role focuses on leadership, process improvement, and financial performance, ensuring an exceptional client and patient experience while guiding continued growth and success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership or practice management experience.
• Ability to interpret a P&L and make data-driven decisions.
• Balance accountability with empathy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
• Managing scheduling, workflows, inventory, facilities, and daily operations.
• Monitoring key business metrics and financial performance.
• Supporting a culture of accountability, engagement, and recognition.

About the Role

As Practice Manager, you'll partner closely with our Medical Director and Assistant Practice Manager to support hospital operations, team development, financial performance, and culture.

This is not a maintenance role. It's an opportunity to help shape the future of an already successful hospital.

You’ll lead and develop team members, improve processes, support growth initiatives, and help ensure Harbor Point continues to deliver the exceptional experience that earned national recognition.

What You'll Be Doing

• Coaching, mentoring, and developing team members
• Managing scheduling, workflows, inventory, facilities, and daily operations
• Monitoring key business metrics and financial performance
• Supporting a culture of accountability, engagement, and recognition
• Collaborating with Encore's HR, Recruiting, Finance, Marketing, and Operations teams

Bonus Points For:

• Veterinary practice experience
• CVPM certification (or actively pursuing it)
• Business, finance, or management experience
• Experience with scheduling, payroll, HRIS, or practice management systems
