The University of Florida Pet Emergency Treatment Services in Ocala, FL is seeking an experienced Veterinary Practice Manager to oversee our small animal emergency hospital. The Practice Manager is responsible for management of personnel, marketing & client relations, financial management, and hospital operations. The critical competencies for this position include analytical skills, relationship building, excellent communication skills and the ability to plan and prioritize. A strong business background, leading teams, and previous practice management experience is preferred. This position requires a post-offer health assessment and background check.

Salary based on education and experience
Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM); or a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with previous practice management, managing and leading teams
• Experience in a small animal veterinary clinic
• Experience in a small animal emergency veterinary clinic
• Demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.
• Critical thinking skills and a positive attitude; Able to think independently and demonstrate good problem solving skills
• Excellent customer service skills; excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Able to work in a team environment and collaborate with a variety of personnel in a positive manner
