Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Olympia, WA seeks an experienced Assistant Practice Manager for our state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital. Pay ranges from $36 to $50 per hour, dependent on experience and Kahuna leveling.

You will assist the Practice Manager in daily operations, supervise staff, and help drive efficiency, compliance, and high-quality patient care. This is a full-time on-site leadership role in a growing veterinary hospital.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise associates.
• Collaborate with training and clinical staff to meet training and quality goals.
• Coach and lead through effective feedback to associates.
• Monitor and evaluate operations daily.
• Partner with the Practice Manager to maximize hospital efficiency and supervise improvements.
• Handle all personnel functions including hiring, training, and records.
• Assist with budget preparation and ensure revenue targets.
• Review employee schedules to meet patient needs.
• Ensure inventory levels of all goods and supplies required for operations.
• Submit timely daily/weekly/monthly reports.
• Maintain compliance with state/federal regulations and OSHA.
• Build rapport with clients and referring DVMs for satisfaction.
• Minimize hospital liability through risk management reviews.
• Investigate unsafe situations and complaints.
• Maintain a positive team environment.
