National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is seeking a dependable Pharmacy Technician to join our veterinary team. This role supports both clients and the veterinary staff by accurately filling prescriptions, educating clients, and handling inventory and payments.

Responsibilities

• Accurately fill, label, and manage prescription refills in our pharmacy system.
• Communicate clearly with clients about medication requests, denials, and usage instructions.
• Educate clients on proper medication administration and answer questions.
• Assist with inventory management: unpack orders, track expiration dates, restock.
• Process payments, submit pet insurance claims, and schedule appointments as needed.
• Package and mail medications or lab samples following protocols.
• Maintain organized and clean pharmacy areas, complete daily checks.

Since 1983, Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital has been providing high-quality veterinary services to dogs and cats across Monmouth County, the Jersey Shore, and New Jersey. We are an AAHA-accredited, Fear-Free, Cat-Friendly hospital with a large, multi-department team and a strong focus on client service, education, and excellent patient care.

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated team. This role is vital to ensuring our patients receive safe and accurate prescriptions while supporting both our clients and veterinary team.

What You’ll Do

• Accurately fill, label, and manage prescription refills in our pharmacy system.
• Communicate clearly with clients about medication requests, denials, and usage instructions.
• Educate clients on proper medication administration and answer general questions.
• Assist with inventory management: unpack orders, track expiration dates, and restock.
