Gore is seeking a Veterinary Pathologist at its Flagstaff, AZ research facility to support development of implantable medical devices, including vascular grafts, cardiac and soft tissue devices.
The candidate will perform post-mortem and histological analyses, data entry, and regulatory submissions input, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external experts while adhering to GLP and animal care policies.
W.L. Gore and Associates is looking for a Veterinary Pathologist to be employed at the research facility located in Flagstaff, Arizonaas a member of the Biosciences' Pathology team that supports the development of state-of-the art implantable medical devices, including but not limited to vascular grafts, endovascular and interventional devices, cardiac devices, surgical meshes and sutures.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated the ability to perform post-mortem examinations and microscopic analysis of various laboratory animal species and human medical devices, accurately perform data entry activities, and "gross-in" specimens in preparation for histological processing. The successful applicant will also demonstrate the ability to understand and adhere to institutional animal care policies, collaborate with internal and external medical device experts, and interpret data for regulatory body reporting. Attributes of a successful applicant include attention to detail and accuracy, ability to effectively manage their time, have a growth mindset, be an excellent team player, and have excellent communication skills.
