Utah State University in Logan, Utah, seeks two faculty members at Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level in veterinary microbiology and immunology within the College of Veterinary Medicine. One focused on bacteriology/immunology/infectious diseases and another on virology/immunology/infectious diseases. Start date Jan 1, 2027.

Tenure-track or professional practice-track offered. Responsibilities include teaching 35-40%, research/diagnostic service 50-55%, and service 5%.

Qualifications

• DVM and/or PhD degree, or equivalent degree(s), in bacteriology/immunology/infectious diseases or virology/immunology/infectious diseases or a related area.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as a team member in a collaborative setting.

Responsabilités

• Deliver instruction in bacteriology/immunology or virology within the DVM curriculum.
• Lead course organization and development.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies and assessment tools.
• Contribute to the DVM curriculum and other activities.
• Pursue pedagogical research and publish findings.
• Develop and carry out high-quality research and mentor students.
• Contribute to veterinary diagnostic service via the Utah Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (UVDL).
• Provide training to residents, veterinary students, or graduate students.
• Contribute to service via committees and university activities.
