Job summary

Mission Pet Health seeks a Medical Lead Veterinarian in Florida to champion clinical excellence and mentor a team of associate veterinarians. You will partner with the Practice Manager to drive hospital performance and uphold high standards in patient care and client service.

You will lead professional development, participate in leadership training, and help shape the hospital's growth strategy while maintaining a clinician role and production goals.

Qualifications

• DVM degree and valid state veterinary license.
• Minimum of 2 years of practical clinical experience.
• Servant leadership mindset with commitment to core values and collaboration.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to understand or learn hospital financial and operating management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor your DVM team with regular performance discussions and development goals.
• Role model medical excellence in medicine, client service, and efficiency while practicing as an associate veterinarian.
• Partner with Practice Manager to develop the annual operating plan and manage hospital financial performance toward EBITDA goals.
• Lead monthly doctor meetings to discuss best practices, new services, and medical standards; oversee externship and mentorship programs.
• Act as an ambassador for the hospital and Mission Pet Health through community engagement.
