Job summary

Mission Pet Health in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Medical Lead Veterinarian to champion clinical excellence and mentor associate veterinarians. You will partner with the Practice Manager to build a healthy, engaged team and drive continuous improvement in patient care and client service.

This leadership role sets the standard for quality medicine, offers opportunities to practice as an associate, and helps develop hospital operations, budgets, and compliance.

Qualifications

• DVM required with state license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of practical clinical experience.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of hospital financial and operating management helpful.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop associate veterinarians through regular performance discussions.
• Partner with Practice Manager to build a healthy, engaged team and drive EBITDA-like goals.
• Lead monthly doctor meetings to discuss best practices and growth initiatives.
• Ensure high standards of clinical quality, client service, and compliance with regulations.
• Represent the hospital in the local community and support recruitment efforts.
