Job summary

Global Talent Partners seeks a Veterinary Medical Director for a Redmond, OR hospital. This role blends hands-on general medicine and surgery with leadership to guide culture, standards, and growth.

You will split time between approximately 20-30% leadership and 70-80% clinical care, mentoring veterinarians and staff, and ensuring compliance with medical protocols and client communication excellence. Expect varied shifts including some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an accredited program.
• Active Oregon veterinary license or ability to obtain before start.
• DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Proven clinical skills in general practice; surgery and dentistry experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and communication abilities.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hospital’s medical and client-service standards while practicing high-quality general medicine and surgery.
• Balance leadership and clinical duties (roughly 20–30% leadership, 70–80% clinical care).
• Coach, mentor, and develop veterinarians and staff to foster a positive, accountable culture.
• Oversee medical protocols, QA, medical records standards, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Guide client communication and service excellence for a compassionate experience.
• Shape doctor and team scheduling to meet patient needs and efficiency.
• Deliver preventive care, diagnostics, dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, anesthesia, and treatment planning.
• Promote a safe, clean clinical environment and evidence-based care.
• Collaborate on hospital strategy, budgeting, and performance goals.
• Full-time position with varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends.
