Qualifications

• DVM degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Current veterinary license in good standing, or eligibility to obtain the required license.
• Significant veterinary clinical experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor the veterinary team while promoting professional development.
• Establish high standards for patient care, anesthesia, pain management, and wellness services.
• Provide guidance on case management and clinical decisions with veterinarians.
• Review medical records to ensure accurate documentation and quality care.
• Develop medical protocols, procedures, and safety standards.
• Monitor medication documentation and controlled substances compliance.
• Organize and lead regular veterinary team meetings.
• Coordinate schedules, coverage, and continuing education.
• Identify workflow challenges and implement efficiency improvements.
• Support conflict resolution and collaboration among staff and leadership.
