Reynolds Road Animal Hospital in Toledo, OH is seeking a Veterinary Medical Director to lead our three-doctor practice into its next chapter of growth and excellence. This role blends hands-on veterinary medicine with strategic leadership and mentorship while upholding high medical standards.

You will partner with hospital leadership to guide clinical teams, recruit and onboard veterinarians, and drive initiatives that improve patient care, client service, and hospital performance while

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited veterinary school.
• Eligible for or currently holds Ohio veterinary license.
• Strong interest in small animal medicine and surgery.
• Commitment to high-quality patient care and client service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of veterinary leadership experience required.
• Strong surgical skills; orthopedic experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated success mentoring and developing veterinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Clinical Excellence and establish high medical standards.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to associate veterinarians.
• Promote consistency in patient care, client communication, and medical outcomes.
• Champion quality improvement initiatives and best practices.
• Mentor veterinarians at all career stages; foster growth and collaboration.
• Collaborate with leadership on recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and retention.
• Lead doctor meetings and encourage continuing education.
