Job summary

PetVet Care Centers Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington, Kentucky seeks a Laboratory Technician to perform analyses across hematology, chemistry, coagulation, microbiology, and related areas, following established protocols and QA checks. Reports to Lab Manager.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, assisting training, reporting results, stocking supplies, and adhering to OSHA and lab policies while pursuing ongoing education and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• ASCP certified MT or MLT preferred.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform hematology, chemistry, coagulation, microbiology, and special tests using established protocols and QA checks.
• Provide support to all laboratory areas and administrative functions.
• Report results according to guidelines and maintain quality control.
