Job summary

Chevy Chase Animal Clinic in Lexington, Kentucky, part of Mission Pet Health, is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join a large, six-doctor team within a full-service small animal hospital.

You will engage in comprehensive patient care, including anesthesia monitoring, lab work, and client education, while collaborating to uphold gold-standard veterinary medicine in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
• A current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
• Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
• A calm and efficient approach, especially in fast-paced or stressful situations.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively.
• One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize your full skillset to provide comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.
• Lead and mentor the medical team, ensuring efficient workflow and professional growth of others.
• Partner with clients to educate on treatments and review medical records, answering questions confidently.
• Contribute to a positive hospital culture through training, feedback, and maintaining high standards.
