CARE | Charlotte Animal Referral & Emergency in Charlotte, NC is seeking experienced veterinary technicians for our busy Internal Medicine (IM) Service. IM Technicians are responsible for facilitating client consultations, maintaining daily charting/charges for emergency transfers or hospitalized patients, facilitating in-house procedures, and more.

Efficiency and attention to detail are imperative. At CARE, IM technicians work side by side with board-certified Internists using advanced

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience
• RVTs preferred but not required
• Detail oriented
• Proficient with technology including electronic medical record systems, automated lab analyzers, and digital radiology
• Ability to lift 40lbs unassisted
• Ability to safely restrain patients for extended periods
• Critical thinking
• Willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Internist in all aspects of care
• Intaking and discharging patients for hospitalization and/or procedures
• Providing advanced nursing care to patients with compassion
• Performing automated and manual laboratory analysis
• Digital radiology
• Performing medical calculations
• Inducing anesthesia, endotracheal intubation, and monitoring anesthesia
• Educating clients on patient disease processes and care
• Providing compassionate customer service to our clients
